The season is winding down.

For some simple maintenance on StrikeLite, change the oil yearly, with the unit in the upright position as if you were drilling a hole, only add enough oil to the bottom of the dip stick. See video on www.strikemaster.com

We suggest you leave fresh, stabilized in the fuel tank and run 5-10 minutes at least once a month in the off- season.  If you keep fresh fuel moving through the system periodically, all components will remain soft and function properly for next winter.

If you have a routine that works, feel free to continue that process.  Unfortunately there is no perfect answer but here are a few tips we have picked up over 50 years.

• If you can always store up-right or vertical
• Make sure you have a blade cover. 
• If you store your auger without fuel.  Always add fresh stabilized fuel before attempting to start.           
• Grease shaft to protect from corrosion
