|

|
| Q: | CAN I USE SYNTHETIC OILS IN MY SOLO AUGER? |
| A: | Quality two cycle oils (Regular or Synthetic) are approved for use in the Solo engine. Mixture ratio MUST NOT exceed 50:1 Mixture ratios over 50:1 will VOID all warranties. StrikeMaster 2 cycle oil meets OEM approved global oil specifications ISO-E-GD and API TC for use in all 2 cycle air cooled engines. Approved for SOLO and Tecumseh engines. SOLO 2 cycle oil meets OEM approved global oil specifications ISO-L-EGD, JASO FD for use in all 2 cycle air cooled engines. |
| Q: | WHAT TYPE OF OIL CAN I USE IN THE STRIKE-LITE? |
| A: | Any quality low-temp synthetic 4-stroke oil or conventional 5W-30. Fill oil only to the bottom level on the dip stick. |
| Q: | WHAT IS THE FUEL/OIL MIX RATIO FOR A 2-CYCLE ENGINE? |
| A: |
StrikeMaster's specifications, not the oil manufacturer's. |
| Q: | WHAT SPARK PLUG SHOULD BE USED FOR MY 2-CYCLE ENGINE AND WHAT IS THE GAP? |
| A: |
The gap on the spark plug should be at 030 for the Tecumseh engine, and .019 for the Solo Engine. But they will both be running the same plug from Champion. |
| Q: | WHAT IS THE BLACK STUFF RUNNING OUT OF THE MUFFLER ON MY 2HP AUGER? |
| A: | 2-cycle engines require mixing 2-cycle oil with unleaded fuel (in the fuel can before filing the tank on the auger). Some of the oil does not always burn off entirely and will secrete out the muffler. If you are noticing that there is excessive oil secretions from your muffler or that the spark plug is getting "gummed up", the fuel /oil mixture is most likely mixed too rich (too much oil). Add 1-2 oz. of unleaded gas to lean out mixture (do not add directly to your auger's fuel tank). Make sure to use winter formulated unleaded gasoline for best engine performance. |
| Q: | WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LAZER POWER AUGERS AND THE MAGNUM or MAG 2000? |
| A: | The main difference lies in the drill unit. The Lazer drill will shave the ice which produces a smoother, faster operation. The Lazer can drill a hole in two feet of ice in 10 to 15 seconds. The Mag 2000 has more of a traditional style of chipping the ice. |
| Q: | WILL A JIFFY DRILL FIT THE STRIKE MASTER POWERHEAD? |
| A: | No. The Jiffy Drill turns counter clockwise. |
| Q: | WILL THE LAZER DRILL UNIT FIT THE MAG POWERHEAD? |
| A: | Yes, all StrikeMaster drills are interchangeable with StrikeMaster Powerheads. |
| Q: | WHAT SIZE IS THE COLLAR BOLT? |
| A: | 8 mm x 1.25, 30 mm long. It can be purchased through StrikeMaster's On-Ice Store by clicking here. |
| Q: | WHAT KIND OF POWER SOURCE CAN BE USED AND HOW MANY HOLES CAN BE DRILLED WITH THE POWER SOURCE FOR THE ELECTRA LAZER DP AUGER? |
| A: | Any 12 volt power source can be used, ie. Motorcycle, garden tractor, car, marine, deep cycle, etc. On a fully charged battery source, the Electra Lazer can drill between 25-40 holes (in average ice depth of 2 feet). Charge battery after each use. |
